Review: Cat Soup (2001)

The best way to picture Cat Soup is to imagine Nobuo Nakagawa's Jigoku adapted for a half hour episode of Pucca... whilst leaving the gore and adult themes intact.

The story is about two cats, one of which has just had their soul stolen by death and it is now up to the soulless cats brother to do the job of finding the aforementioned soul. On their journey the two cats come across a variety of strange characters and locations; a circus in which a wizard can make elephants out of bubbles, a pig who proceeds to eat himself after being unzipped by one of the cats, and a man who wishes to turn the siblings in to Cat Soup (hence the title).

8/10

I haven't written much for this post as it serves mainly as a test. I'm new to blogs.
